And here is arguably the most Australian truck currently being built (even more local content than Volvo/Mack.
The IVECO (FIAT).
FIAT have been controlled by the Agnelli family forever. During reorganisations over the last 20 years FIAT have shifted their truck division, renamed IVECO (Industrial Vehicle Company) through various FIAT sub-companies and eventually placed it with CNH (Case New Holland, owned by FIAT), the present owners. CNH is possibly the largest industrial manufacturer in the world, amazingly also controlled by the Agnelli family and it also owns:
Astra (who build IVECO based heavy, mining, multi drive, fire/rescue, and specialist use trucks)
Case Construction Equipment
Case IH (The merger of Case and the International Harvester agricultural and industrial division)
FPT Industrial (FIAT Power Technologies, who build all the heavy FIAT/IVECO, rail, marine, agricultural etc engines)
Heuliez Bus ( French operation - known as Irisbus outside France. Invented bendy-bus with Volvo and now electric town buses)
Iveco
Iveco Bus
Iveco Defence Vehicles
Magirus (now the world's biggest fire-fighting vehicle builder. They still make Deutz air cooled engines for industrial and marine)
Miller (world's largest agricultural spray equipment and spray vehicle maker - many badge-engineered products sold by others)
New Holland Agriculture
New Holland Construction
Steyr (one of Europes biggest agricultural machine manufacturers)

I'd rather have tools that I don't need, than not have the tools I do need.

Not sure as I just plucked it off the web. No doubt others will know the truck.
