In Qld,you are allowed to tow a trailer of less than 3tons gross on your normal rego ,as soon as the 3 tons is exceeded,you must have a regd GCW to allow for the extra,and the increase isnt a trifling ammount.As for what you are allowed to drive on a certain class of licence,the transport Dept website has all the details.briefly ,you can drive a semi trailer on a MRor HR,if its a little one.

On a trucks manual gearbox th@ has a Power Take Off mounted on the side of sed Gear Box
How do U engage the PTO with out grinding the gears with the engine running?

From memory of my years at Austral Bricks with the slush box leaders you selected Park or Neutral then hit the PTO switch, a brick on the pedal ,1600 revs and then played merry hell :evil:

Select drive or low...........to stop box spinning
In with PTO.............
Box back to neutral.................
Foot off brake.............
Then proceed to knock parts of the house down with the crane........OR....
Put the tipper up into the 240 overhead wires.............
