QUESTION TIME

The sugar will take up less space when it is dissolved in the coffee because the sugar molecules squeeze in between the water/coffee molecules, but it will still expand the overall volume a little bit. The ice in the rum and coke takes up more space as it melts because we all know that water expands as it freezes. So the solution to stop you cup running over is to mix you coffee with rum & coke and the sugar and ice cube will off set each other and you have the hangover and cure in the same cup.

I remember helping at a dawn service over 30 years ago with my Rover Crew. We were invited back to the RSL for breakfast and by the boiling urn was coffee, sugar milk and rum. A bit early for me. When they kicked the other guests out around 10am we were asked to stay back and join the diggers for the day. I got home late afternoon just in time to cook dinner!

Morris, your lucky to get the frozen stuff. With the drought on, around here, we can only get it in de-hydrated form.

Years ago there was a song on that topic. It was a Jamaican beat and the only words I can remember go:-

"Put the rum in the coconut and mix it all up,

off an album called "Nilson Schmilson". Lead song "Without You" sold a cupla million!
Had an old cassette of it here at one stage.

DNO... You going to the wrong place mate.... My local shop at work (caters especially to truckies) does $3 coffee.... Any size... Asked him the other day if I could get it in a bucket :woohoo: :blink: :blink:

Got my regular stops for a good brew, just never get a full large cup.
