Long answer - A company jointly owned by Swishys favourite manufacture ( Volvo) and Grenada Coach Lines (Victorian) which built Busses and Coaches in Queensland.

They were originally based in Melbourne with current factory in Dandenong, but have also had assembly plants in Brisbane, Newcastle, and Perth. Volgren has been owned by Sth American company Marco Polo for a while.
They have built buses for Singapore and Hong Kong, and are currently supplying to Japan.

Just getting back to the backwards running motors for a second, in the latest "Unique Cars" magazine there is an article about a fellow who built a two engined Mini, with the second Mini motor and transaxle mounted in the boot making it 4WD. But because of the orientation of the motor he had to run it backwards, which involved a new cam, narrower con-rods (because they hit lobes on the cam) re plumbing the oil pump, and crank trigger ignition. Runs like a charm.

The Road Train posts are most opportune.

I was on Pennant Hills Road today in Sydney and could have sworn I went past a road train.

It didn't catch up in the traffic so I was left thinking I'd finally lost it.

I feel much better now. :woohoo:

Now running backwards of forwards motors, not sure of this one but it does go both ways and draws a crowd. And it supports the two local footy teams

I'm pretty sure that the Australian Built Lightburn car didn't have a reverse gear & you stopped the (2 Stroke) Motor & started it running in the opposite direction for reverse...

Seed,

You're correct.

If you had one in the garage it would be worth a few quid today.
