Coz apparently the bearings aren't strong enough in that gear for the loads imposed.... And I believe there is a lubrication problem in that gear too...

... Or so I've been told ;)

Just on that when you use that in normal use you would think it would be fairly loaded

What is the "Secret Gear". I have used every one I can find in mine, another one might be handy sometimes.

Paul, We're talking about using LO gear in High range..

EDIT: We've already (Kinda) talked about this back on page 2.

OR, what about the blokes who used to pull 15 gears out of the OLD 13 speed Bushrangers?
Probably already answered by now, the 'secret' gear that Mr Fuller swore and avowed that buffoon drivers must NEVER engage. But, we all probably tried it at one stage or another, especially if getting a bit tired or not fully switched on.

Reminds me of the bloke who first taught me to drive a Spicer 4X4, used to call Fuller R/Rangers "Ladies" gearboxes. Probably only made about 27 million of them!

Thanks Hayseed, I have only ever driven 15 speeds, so use that one pretty regularly.
