My wife lived in Wonoona and she remembers that all neighbours received letters asking them not to park on the road. I am sure the men doing this job would have tried to find the cars owner first.

Have a real close look at the photo.

I'm pretty sure there's a driver in there.

I think he was just driving up the street and met a house coming the other way.

I would have had him drive up a driveway and keep the truck on the road, or reverse out of the way,

Thanks to driver Laurie Woods for sharing these photos.
Coleman's 1993 T450 Kenworth. The pipes were an ongoing job contracting to Brambles from Pt Kembla to Northern Queensland.

Back in the Ward and Coleman's days, their FWD crane and International semi. The FWD appears to be right hand drive. I always thought they were left hand drive?

It must have been in the days before OH&S.

I have my shoulder to the wheel,
my nose to the grindstone,
I've put my best foot forward,
I've put my back into it,
I'm gritting my teeth,

Now I find I can't do any work in this position!

The 'rock' was picked up from Frank Askews - Monumental & Stone Works and does have 2 plaques attached, one possibly a white marble and the other a bronze plaque.
No hard hats either. Boy we all need to get a life and not be concerned about this OHS stuff! :woohoo:
