The timber tressel bridge looks similar to what was used at Langely Vale just a couple of klms from home. They were also big on stem engine and winches for the timber felling.

Going off my experience of finding old logging trucks that were left ‘parked’ where they broke down that old Linn might be still sitting out in the scrub some where.

On me farm, I found what is believed to be a chain drive Republic whilst I were clearing an old track. And there is the remains of what I think is a 1927 Leyland sitting in the paddock at the site of an old logging camp.

Swishy: Loved the log snigger behind the dozer , my grandfather used bullock teams for that sort of work he could not afford that sort of equipment

looks like many machines had many people or crew to make it work
Nowa days u can roll up to a construction site to find many machines
but only 1 worker do n the lot

Yeah Swishy, but you will find as many "Supervisors" on the job as they had workers in the past, so the head count stays the same.

Well done swishman, some awfully huge logs amongst that lot, beautiful timber jinkers and a bullock team having a go. Some really nice bits of equipent, shovels, trains and winches, I really enjoyed it.
