Crikey Mark, you're a master at the understatement , saying it "started to whine a bit in October" I bet she was singing like an opera singer just before you pulled the diff .
Did you pull only one or both?
Can you set up the diff yourself Mark or do you get someone else to do them for you, setting up diffs has always been something of a "black art" to me.
$101.00 + gst is a good ask I reckon , bet the fitters dont get even half of that !

Changed it's tune today. i could not turn the radio up any louder.
I have been very lucky to have a few very talented
friends that made me do it and do it right.
they are not that daunting realy just time consuming

Re rates, Peugeot dealer Perth $127/hr, mechanic gets $27. We drove 300 ks from home in our 93 Pug, outside in the rain that night and got about 5 ks and stopped, had done this before when it was washed so tilt tray to dealer and said moisture problem. After 4 hrs and car too old for current computer diagnosis next option was trial different components if available. On asking about quitting it to wrecker mechanic offered to pay my a/c if he could have car. Was relieved to get out of it at no cost, it needed tyres & relicence.David.

don't make it attractive for trailers. A lot of the stuff round the works they can't use dogs so i do better than
the fancy stuff generaly..
A lot of the sooks won't go near some of the jobs
in the works because they get their shiny jiggers dirty.

The wallet is in intensive care though as one of the hemisphere berings was loose. Had to do the

Look at the second pic and you will see the wear pattern at the heel of the tooth thats how mutch wear it had. This pic is generaly how the pattern should look
