My input twaz

Things I've learned n remembered over the years

<> When engaging the Power take off for the mecanical drive winch always select 1st geat in the cog box to slo them gears down then engage PTO then slip main into neutral this stops grind n them little sukerz

<> Look well ahead into the future ( most 4 wheelers R only in focus of wotz 3 feet in front of there car)

<> read the traffic conditions ( travelling a bizzy suburban area U get to kno the traffic light sequence n @ times U kno when to back off n when the lights about to change in u're favor, th@ way U can keep the rig roll n)

<> keep fuel tanks full to prevent condensation build up

<> Driving a screemer once U have lift off, drive az tho its stolen LOL

<> B courteous to u're fello trucker az U kno they B a pay n attention not like 4 wheelerz

<> Never talk about the beast 'of how good itz go n' the beast of burden listen n th@'z when they will let U down

<> Keep windows n mirrors clean = better vision n stop headaches lookn thru crap on windows

<> Service truck 1st preference ..........wash n clean 2nd

<> Arrive a few minutes early than the agreed time (never L8)

Put both hands back on the wheel between shifts or the spirit of John Watt will appear and whack you on the hand with his ruler.

A few things that I learned the hard way.
Plan out your route - 2 minutes with a map is easier than 20 minutes stuck in a dead end street.
Understand and listen to your vehicle - it may be trying to tell you something.
Take your time - Do things in a sequence.
Tie your load down properly, stop and check it.

Take your hand off the gearstick when not changing gears the thrust washers will love you for it and put the left foot on the floor when not changing cogs - bit obvious I know, but the old hand cant help restin on the gearstick ;) ::)

When you repair something .. painting it, is akin to inviting disaster. Any time you paint something up, super-slick, after a major repair .. the gremlins spot it a mile off, and slip inside it .. and break, or unscrew, something that you just replaced .. ;D ;D

The secret to tricking them is to re-install it, use it, then paint it. That way, the gremlins get confused, because they can't find any recently replaced, or worked-on, parts .. ;D ;D
