That trip would have taken awhile to do.

Darlington (near Newcastle in North East England) to Southampton (South coast of England) is around 400km on modern roads.

At the speed they would have been moving, and the longer road routes in the old days, it would have been a minimum 3 day journey.

Imagine how many tiny villages and towns they had to pass through.

Glad it was them.

I forgot to mention with our "little" Lorry about the bent ramps. Previous owner over loaded the ramps and truck at some stage and they bent. I put this stuff up to good use by flipping the ramps to have the ramps arch up. This helps in loading and eases the angle for driving cars up and onto the back.
Sometimes things happen for a good reason!
