I know a bloke who for many years, drove a four-wheel-drive Bedford with no drive shaft to the rear axle because the diff was stuffed.
He does not have the mechanical ability to fix it.

it is a Garden Gnome, not a Santa Claus, and when I was at school they used to be nicked from front yards and sent away to distant places and then a postcard was sent back to owner saying how they were enjoying themselves interstate or abroad. It looks like a big fibreglass marketing display for posting Gnomes.
