BJ & the BEAR was created by Coal Carter
BJ & the Bear TV Series featured in Australia in about 1979-81. By the way a new DVD release is available for the BJ & the Bear TV series at:

Thanks Roland, I think it was Lewingtons that also painted their trucks like this... I'll have to dig around my photos and see.

The word is there was only 3 trucks built by Kenworth in the States for the TV Series, 2 are missing, and 1 is in a Shed. Have a look at this video clip, he would make a great Blue truck driver LOL

A friend of mine always called this show "BJ and the beer", I told them is was actually "BJ and the bear" but they insisted that they were correct.
It turns out that they grew up in Italy where the show was dubbed from the original US version as "BJ e Birra" Birra means beer!

travelous ran a very similer colour scheme too bj and the bear, its not quite like lewingtons,

yes it was lewingtons from wodonga with that color scheme the top red section is on the opposite angle and it was webster red and stock white as we signed and lined and scrolled 248 of then the .sometimes 2or 3 times going back to 1979 first of the big cab and headlights .crackers mccracken signs wodonga.
