We are halfway there with my mind being read (even stuff I have not thought of) quite easily. Unfortunately it does not go the other way and I am still trying to figure out the quick shitty look I got at our wedding breakfast 50 years ago. As you can imagine there is now a rather large backlog of unexplained raised eyebrows, terse responses, silences and even tears.. I have little hope of reaching parity of understanding in my remaining time on earth.

Lang, I'm with you all the way, but to top it off, in my case, I'm married to a Red Head with the obligatory short fuse and very selective memory.

Yep, selective memory and it's always my fault we did not do something or go somewhere, even is she had refused at the time.
I have my shoulder to the wheel,
my nose to the grindstone,
I've put my best foot forward,
I've put my back into it,
I'm gritting my teeth,

Now I find I can't do any work in this position!

Overnite, over the years I've learnt not to say anything about the bride that I wouldn't say to her, just in caste I talk in my sleep. And I've got the bruises to prove it.

People who don't make mistakes don't make anything else either.
I'd rather have tools that I don't need, than not have the tools I do need.

Years ago, a mate told a group of us:- never give them a time you will be home because when that time approaches YOU ARE LATE.

I stuck to that until just recently when I went to a swap meet and was an hour late getting home. I learned the lesson again! Hopefully I will not make that mistake again.

However several times in the past I have got back from a show or market to be greeted with "I didn't make you any lunch/dinner because I did not expect you home until after dark". You just can't win, it does not matter what you do.

Relative humidity is the sweat that runs down your back as you are bonking your sister-in-law. (Or so I've been told.)
