If you are going to that much work, wouldn't it be better to use a slewing crane?

I have my shoulder to the wheel,
my nose to the grindstone,
I've put my best foot forward,
I've put my back into it,
I'm gritting my teeth,

Now I find I can't do any work in this position!

The Fuel tank looks European to me maybe it fell off a MAN.
But I do stand to be corrected.

If you refresh the link he has it down to $5,800. Got to be bargain. The hotrodders will give you more than that for your old snub nose cab.

Backenders are OK for desperados, but IMHO you cant beat a 10/12 BHB for working in a yard or under a roof in a shed....I see plenty around cheap now Cranesafe has wrecked the market for them......the sandblasters I worked for had a really nice one with a 6cy Perk and 2f/2r BW auto ,sold at the auction for $8000....some of the smaller BHBs sold for $5000.......the ex Hornibrook one , a 10/12 with a 4 cyl JD,I spent $8000 having the extension ram rebuilt ,it also had the articulation rebuilt, sold for $6000....Never went to the auction...still kicking self.

Not a desperado ,but must have a swivel neck ...spose a video camera looking back might cure that ....No way I could drive a backender looking back ......although I saw a Blitz once where it had dual controlls ,and a complete backward looking cab half ,with a forward looking cab for the road.....On time ,hire cranes were mostly backenders ,truck cranes killed them.
