Who remembers Auto-kolone

When I would go away with my brother in law while I was waiting to get my license in the late 70’s he used to smother the cab with Auto Kolone , it brings back memories of times gone by , we use to cart cattle from various places in Victoria and southern NSW to a large meat works every day , wto riverstone on the out sKurtz of Sydney
, ( was bull dozed I the 90’s I think. )... and every time I smell auto kolone , servo’s don’t seem to keep it anymore, never fear eBay is here , any one else got a story ?

Yeah, that does bring back a few memories! Of waking up in a parking bay only to find that whilst you were out to it, one of those loads of "stinkies" (hides and glue pieces) or worse still, an offal (or guts) truck had parked besides your open window! Then you would have to swamp the cab in auto cologne just to be able to breathe! Double D eucalyptus was another good stand by.

in fact I have known a few blokes that I would have been happy if they had a few swigs...…..
Good part about it was, if you gave the cab a good clean out it seemed to rejuvenate it...……
Not available as much as it used to be , but , Repco still sell the original formula.
Yeah, I still use it in our troopy, ……...just luv it...……… a few squirts at the end of the day did the job . ………

Did it use to be in a yellow bottle with red writing?
If so, NO, I don't remember it, much!

Still available from Super Cheap $13.99 Taxis used to nearly make me sick as most drivers and many passengers smoked back in the day and they tried to drown the smell (didn't work).

I still use it, lol use all the time, I have smothered my t-line with it to get rid of the doggie smell and hair that the last owner gave me it was that thick on the engine tunnel I thought it was shag pile , I’ve got it out now , my bedroom smells like it, since the hand brake left I can please myself , someone else on in the other post they could drink it, haha I’ve thought the same,

Recalling the actual smell of it, a Saigon brothel comes to mind!

u shouldn’t air your past adventures with us Dave , all I can smell is a sweet smothering odour..... and I haven’t been to Vietnam either lol
