A few of my old girls over the years.
The current one of 3 successive Mitsubishi Canters as Postie Bike Challenge workshop/baggage truck.
1942 Chevrolet for Brisbane to Townsville convoy
1921 TT Truck. Lovely vehicle but oh so slow with worm drive axle.
1941 Dodge 1/2 ton Weapon Carrier and Royal Enfield bike (current collection)

and a few extra
I swapped this for something Why??? Anyhow a strawberry farmer made me an offer I could not refuse to save me dying with it.
Found orphaned at Birdsville. Sheer coincidence a mate turned up with a load of building material. Carton of beer transport to Brisbane sealed the deal. Lovely condition perfect runner was saved from the scrappies and I passed it on to a Bedford enthusiast and now restored to better than new.
My Bedford with a CAP crane when I had my Marine Construction business in early 80's. Very handy but could hardly pull itself along the road.
1940 Dodge Army Staff Car at ANZAC Cove which Bev and I drove from Aqabah in Jordan through Syria. Turkey, Greece etc to D-Day celebration in Normandy.
Bev in the 1907 Peking to Paris ITALA. We had to wear all that period crap for the ABC Doco people.

Only up to "D"
1915 Willys Overland we drove 3,000km without a breakdown around outback QLD for Prostate Cancer awareness. Amazingly fast and comfortable.
Blitz Bofors Gun Tractor I bought in Bowen and drove without lights or brakes back to Brisbane. Those were the days!
1942 Chevrolet ute Bev and I drove on another trip to Normandy starting in Istanbul.
Spent 3 months in Bowen building the Marina. Every spare moment went out into the district and found trucks. Drove them all back unregistered at night as far as 250km. Here is Chevrolet 1 1/2 ton 4x4, Federal 6x6 wrecker and long wheel base blitz

May as well do one more. If anyone is interested there have been lots more pass through the fleet.
The dear old Commer with a Clark Airfield Towmotor
My Commer on the truck train 1966. Might have been a couple of kilos over on the trailer axle?
Two WW2 3 Ton Dodges purchased in Newcastle but shifted on to other collectors after sitting waiting their turn for restoration in my yard for a year.
Volvo loaded to deliver theAlbion to Toll at Wagga and then proceed on to the Corowa meet with the Dodge. Someone said it looked a bit high but I never measured it and one Road Check stop was only so the blokes could get a photo of the old trucks - they are not all bad.
The old F86 when I bought her in Adelaide

May as well throw up some more
The kids with the FC-170 Forward Control Jeep and Army Jeep on a trip to Bundaberg in the early 80's
Federal 6x6 I had in Bowen. It was powered by 671 GM.
Lovely 1947 Humber Super Snipe I swapped a Russian Side-car bike for. I certainly got the best of the deal. Smoothest old car I have ever driven, should not have sold it after a couple of years.
This is the same vehicle as the red one above. an Inter 1200 4x4 which I put 3 different cabs on over about 18 months. Holden 253 V8.
Current Jeep

can't stop
1967 American built Kenworth. 671 GM built for Caltex. Loved driving it but it was almost impossible to sit in it was so rough. Missus refused to come along in the bucking bronco. Replaced it with the smooth, quiet Volvo F86 - best move I ever made.
Ancient history 1966
Bev and I on the Russian Dnepr two wheel drive sidecar we rode from Kiev, Ukrain to Istanbul then on to Genoa in Italy. Bastard broke down every day!
Photo of one day in time before changes to the fleet.

and
Follow Me Landrover I built for Caboolture Airfield. Looks great but completely rusted out - OK on the airfield.
Our Chev ute in front of the Aussie covoy I organised from Istanbul to Normandy. Mont St Michel in France
Rescuing a rare 1948 Morris Van from a vineyard in Mildura
Misubishi Canter 4x4 experiment before going up market to the OKA.
