The Best Truck Movies was created by Lang
There have been many truck movies over the years.

Here are some that really rate. They are not the American kids' movies like Convoy etc.

The acknowledged best truck movie of all times is "Wages of Fear" about carting nitro-glycerine in South America but it might be a bit too subtle and old school for some people. Here is a free Youtube for you to watch. www.dailymotion.com/video/x6jg3bu

Another is "The Big Gamble" 1961 which tells the story of an Irish adventurer in Africa trucking with an old WW2 Crossley. River crossings, roll overs and hanging over cliffs. Still trying to find a free download.

"Sorcerer" is a modern version of "Wages of Fear"

They drive by night starring Humphrey Bogart, George Raft. features 1920's trucks. not much has changed for the owner driver.
The Long Haul starring Victor Mature & Diana Dors. Captures the atmosphere of a Leyland Octopus
Destination Dohar; A 1977 BBC doco about the 5000 km "middle east run" from Britain to Arabia. 98 mins. Hardly a Yank truck in sight.

Destination Dohar is pretty good and I have watched it many times, I also like
"All Rods Lead To Rome"
"Steel Cowboy "
"Two Moon Junction " has bloke driving a truck
"The Shipment "
"36 Wheels" isnt bad for a Australian doco

Convoy was pretty good fun back in the day

How about Meat Loaf in the movie "Black Top"

"Back of Beyond"
"Cattle Carters"

Any of those European doco's that are long distance heading to all parts of Europe and beyond

The film with MeatLoaf was Black Dog. Also had Patrick Swayze and Randy Travis in it. And the Peterbilt, don't forget the Peterbilt. Wrecked a few trucks in the film too.

The film tells the story of a trucker and ex-con who is manipulated into transporting illegal arms. The film co-stars country and rock musicians Randy Travis and Meat Loaf.
