Quick check online and they list both LH and RH cams for inline and V engines. Also for left and right banks on the Vee's also in LH and RH.
I no longer have access to some very good GM manuals or could answer all this. The old grey matter is refusing to work properly some days.
Cheers Steve

Found an article that may help explain, the pic is from the article.
Looks like the cams rotate the same way even when the rotation changes (Vee engine) and the blower drive stays the same.
Just need to visualise shifting the idler over and turning the crank in the opposite direction.

.
.Good videos there gents.......
But we have been talking about inline donks.............
V donks are a different kettle of fish,,,,,,,,,,because , V donks always have the blower in the valley.....
and the heads only go on the same way (exhaust to the outside) and there is no balance shafts ,....
but of corse the donks can rotate either way.
But in the main , what we have been discussing is related to inline donks..................

Lets see if this comes out clear. Pic of RH engines plus the link has both RH and LH.
So looking at the layouts the camshaft can run both with and against engine rotation.

.Spot on there Quacka.................
I think that is what we have been trying to say..............
Regardless of crank rotation, the cam can run with the crank or opposite the crank..
depending on engine build..............well done.........

.
This pic shows all the variations of engine build up...................
.
Now .......to get those 8 configurations ,you have a choice of 4 cams that each will do its job.
(provided it goes in the right spot).....................How does that sound.?????
