Not a test load; these trucks actually worked with special permit. Early 1980's Hondas, Civics, Accords and the early Preludes

That just shows European trucks can carry more cars than Yankee trucks!

12 Commodores vs 28(?) thin metal Asian vehicles . . .

. . . .makes one think . . .

. . . just how many cars can be created from 12 scrapped Commodores???

I always used to say the Asian cars were made from old Baked Bean cans.
I have my shoulder to the wheel,
my nose to the grindstone,
I've put my best foot forward,
I've put my back into it,
I'm gritting my teeth,

Now I find I can't do any work in this position!

Years ago, I was headed south from FNQ with a load of crushed cars. I'd stopped at a roadhouse for coffee. Simultaneously a northbound car carrier pulled up. As we each performed a load check, before entering the purveyor of fine beverages. As we passed eachother, between the trailers, I remarked to him "You keep taking them up, I'll bring them back." My quick wit and marvellous humour were totally wasted on him, he looked at me as if I had two heads.
