Lang nailed it pretty near spot on, Gamecock was next size up from Bantam, slightly different cab floors.
Later Bantams also did come out in both 15 & 16 inch wheels as well as 13".
Other variation was Bantams did have the 1.6 litre BMC derived diesel option.
Or so my books here are telling me.

Thanks for the explanation. I thought the cabs looked narrower than the Commer, but the brochure says they shared the same cabs.

Reckon thats a pretty old phot0 of Stevens Bantam. If its the same Stevens that Mayne Nicks bought out, (thus becoming Mayne-Stevens) would put it around late sixties or very early seventies.
Obviously reasonably new, a tidy old girl.

wee-allis,
Yes it does!
However, due to inclimate weather, there has been a delay of a few weeks, but I did start the "Mistress" yesterday and repositioned the old girl in the shed.
Working on the alloy tipping tray at the moment. Too many projects at this stage, still ginning around with sons generator, gets too damn cold here about 4pm, besides the heater and footy season calls!
Roll on Spring!

F H Stevens becoming Mayne -Stevens wore Mayneroad livery, that pale, almost J L Pierce green.
I wasnt familiar with Stevens being in red.
What sort of gear were they running??
Just curious, as most Mayne Nicks divisions had predominately Mack.
