Good work everyone 

Well some how I missed the most important day of the week last week 
Plenty of shut eye so I wouldnt make a repeat performance

Great Unimog story. Must have had the turbos doubled or tripled up to keep the oxygen going. Crew would have to be on oxygen the whole time above 15,000 feet. A great effort.

Engines lose about 3% power per thousand feet climbed without a turbo. If the Mogs were at 22,000 feet without turbo they would be down to 34% of their power. Even with their super low gearing it would have been impossible. My guess is they put huge turbos on the engines to keep them breathing. The original turbos would have been like a mouse fart at 22,000 feet. A damn good effort.
