Brocky45 post=247688 userid=3529I was thinking that much hay would be a little much for a single axle prime mover???
Brocky, Those Soft centered Round bales weigh bugger-all... Flat out to be250kgs I reckon. They're also shits of things to cart.. Hence the reason Ol mate has them inside Gates..

lemmiwinks post=248413 userid=4052I saw a beautifully restored two tone dark brown/beige cabover pulling a trailer the other week in Dubbo. Couldn't snap a pic as I was driving but it looked like it was working (or it was new and I'm just a chump ha ha).
Was It this one Mate..??

Somehow, sometime, a long time ago someone managed to shoe horn a WWll era Mercedes OM65 diesel into my 1911 Dennis fire engine. Being out in the weather for many years and with loose tappet covers the prognosis for freeing it up was not good. Extracting it was tricky as the cast sump is fatter at the bottom and wouldn't go past the welded in engine mounts. Side play in the chassis rails to be measured with a feeler gauge.
Perseverance paid off and it came out with further ado. Drained 9 litres of water, followed by 3 or 4 of oil from the sump. One piston had to be thumped out and still dealing with cam followers, otherwise all bearings are amazingly good.
Bugger all on the internet for these motors so will need help with cam and injector timing. Oh, Bosch injector pump might be us as siezed solid and aluminium threads gall when attempting to undo things.
