Yeah Cobba, I think most people plan it that way
But never get the say
My grand parents on my fathers side chose theirs and moved in their 60's
Problem was they lived for another 30years and were fit and well up until maybe the last 5 or so
Not much of a way to live I never thought

Chassis rails say your right
They aren't a bad old trailer, but certainly not the best

Middle trailer would be a McGrath by the look of the bow in it.

My brother had one and it would make you sea sick if you followed it for long.

That's actually a pretty good video eh? The old girl sounds like she would "Up and at 'em" no worries at all... wonder if they'll try the Volvo next...

Found this on my computer, it's one of Dads so I've probably posted before- it was probably his favorite Frauline, as it was a 1918, not a 1418. Which meant it had a bigger chassis, full air brakes, and trilex wheels. Same motor and box tho, so still bloody slow. It was the only truck he ever really spent any money on, whilst he was away somewhere on some sort of holiday, he got it painted and re trimmed. I still remember him being pretty unhappy about how much it cost! I spent a lot of time in this truck as a kid. Blokes used to call up on the CB saying "gee thats a funny looking Benz mate, what is she?"
It's another truck I'd love to find, a rare unit, and I've only ever seen one other 1918.
Happy Fliday Fellas!
Cheers
Rich
