Frauline Friday

I have my shoulder to the wheel,
my nose to the grindstone,
I've put my best foot forward,
I've put my back into it,
I'm gritting my teeth,
Now I find I can't do any work in this position!

Yep, what he said.

Afternoon everyone
Despite been winter it still is Frauline Friday
How lucky are we all to get Frauline Friday this week after me muffing up last week and missing it until Saturday
Roger Calvert's story behind the photos
Many, many years ago my brother and I worked at Lane's Motors Truck Division in Port Melbourne. Of the many customers and drivers that we worked for was one fellow named Norm Ridley who drove this hard working 337 for Caduro Bros of Yenda. During his visits we ended up being good friends and I asked him if I could do a trip with him sometime. Which I did a few months later. A good story for later.
Malcolm Tucker's story behind the photo
Wool from out of Flinders Ranges district, again no end racks no straps only home made ropes used repetitively which we’re told these days is very bad, however nothing ever fell off. Picked up some bales from Wilpena Pound prior to the de-stocking as well. The 1418 was ex Safcol fish truck Port Lincoln, it “knocked off work to carry bricks” as the old saying goes . No truck refrigerators with sugary drinks in them or iced coffee just a swig or two from a canvas water bag was all ya got & be thankful
Have a wonderful weekend
Paul
