Hi Guys,I am finaly replacing the creaking upper bearing in the steering column and are at a stuck point and a little help would be very much appreciated.
With parts removed, indicator stork, hazzard switch, nut & bolt retainers I can move the upper steering column body (No12 on CCF26102020 STEERING COLUMN jpg exploded view that you sent me.) up and down about 12mm. It appears to have clearance on one side but catches on the other. I think it should simply come off easily as I can not see any other fasteners. Has anyone got an idea of what to do?.The photos are probably not much use but you might just be able to see at "12 oclock" there is a clearance gap but at "6 oclock there is not and that is where I can see it catching. Thanks in advance. Regards Steffan

Silly question I know but is it possible that the wiring harness is stopping it lifting up?
