Which came first: Skyhooks with a Mack or AC/DC on a tray truck?
Roderick

AC/DC by the best part of 20 yrs..

don't matter." -

Six days upon the road:

Great, but why claim 'Greatest?:

I'm still hunting for the ad where a truckie stops for a hitchhiking 20 yo girl, and she asks: 'Are you going all the way?'. I can't even remember what it was advertising.
It seems to have missed this selection:

On the way, I found this sensible safety one, which should appeal:

Not trucking, but great Oz. This year's lamb ad is now up, and is right up with the best:

My thanks to all of you mates who posted these videos.. I am an "old fart" who is a fan of Slim Dusty and the American C&W artists of his era. Today's supposed artists, a screeching and a stuttering, sound more like they have their balls caught in a beartrap!! Paul, the Skyhooks are no worse than what we have up here!!
That song "Six Days on the Road" was written by two truck drivers who had a Saturday night band playing in local pubs and ran team together hauling furniture out of the Hickory / Lenoir area of North Carolina.
The Greatest hits album only covers a small amout of the great "Truckie" Hits we had up here. I always said the the song "Give me 40 acres" was my wife's theme song when we ran team together.

Brockton, I reckon this one was about the first trip my son made to Cairns from Brisbane, at 8 or 9 yo.

Never heard that one before! Good one V8Ian, and I reckon the video would be just about perfect for Brocky?

I have that song on Slim's 4 disc album set titled "Sittin' on 80", But had not seen that video. Several of his videos on You Tube have some good Aussie trucking scenes.
