Hey guys
So I recently picked up this 96 model Ford ltla aeromax…
She has a series 60 12.7 (I think)
18 speed and seems to be pretty well specked up..
although a little rundown…
Just wondering if anyone would know any history on it?
I bought it from Sydney and drove it back to Melbourne..
Ran great , but basically no gauges work, window winders fell off lol and no radio… made for a long drive lol
Ohhh and I cracked a tooth in half while eating a mintie on the way home hahaha off too a great start

Looks like a reasonable unit if you got it for the right money. The gauges and other electrics were pretty shabby from new and the window regs weren't much better but you can work with them to make improvements. Are you going to cut down the stick, looks like something an american youtuber might be fond of.

As 600dodge said, Looks to be pretty straight old Truck..
I've gotta bit of a soft spot for the old Looslybilts. I've had 6 of them over the years. In fact, I still have 2

Should come up pretty well, no gauges not uncommon on any truck if there is no input from the operator, good luck, the GM's are nice with a 18 speed what box is in it.

Well done Oya,
They were the best of the Loosly's I reckon? Dumb, as the previous posts have said, stupid 1/4 windows that seize and break, crappy doors that crack and droop, you know, the typical stuff that makes you wonder what in the hell these companies were thinking- after making them for so long, wouldn't you think they'd fix some of the silly stuff that makes your truck fall apart? But then they went and made the HN80 Lousiville/then Sterling, which ushered in a whole new era of things falling apart.
Then they went broke/sold out/ closed etc. Cos they "couldn't compete"... You have to wonder?
Anyway enjoy your Loosly, they are almost a collectors item now. And still a reliable, bulletproof truck, if you fix all the dumb stuff.
A few I've had over the years-
Cheers
Rich
