.
.Browny..........
We have had a Wabasto airtop 2000 (2kw ) in our van for about 10 years....no troubles at all......
Back then there was not much choice, it was about 1600 bucks for all the bits and i fitted it............
If yours is portable , i hope the exhaust is external, otherwise there might not be too much Browny around.....
Actually, a carbon monoxide detector should be mandatory with any combustion heater ,
especially in confined spaces.............We have one on the wall near the bed head............
One other thing , with the fuel tank on the unit, you have to be really careful when topping up the fuel,
otherwise you will be eating tea etc , and sniffing diesel at the same time...................
....................Billy...............

I CAME INTO THIS WORLD WITH NOTHING & STILL HAVE MOST OF IT.........................

I used to be a truck driver,
but i am now not a truck driver ,
on a good day i can remember
that i used to be a truck driver.

I bought one of the Chinese 5 kw units for the van. Thought i would give it a run on the bench before installing. Filled the diesel tank , and as i was about to connect battery and give it a run , a pool of diesel appeared on the bench and just kept getting bigger. Quick as i could removed the cabinet
and low and behold . Some "digbat" had put the wrong length screw in the bottom of the cabinet right through the fuel tank. Removed the tank , welded
it up , refitted tank , refilled , connected everything and all appears ok. No need to think what might have happened, had i installed it in the van and hit
the start button. Could have got a bit ugly , with the van parked under the patio of the house!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
