Cathcart Transport at Mortlake Vic had one of the last of them in 1965 or 1966. Would have done a lot of miles for them. Green too.

Found some photos of my Scout In Papua New Guinea early 70's (ex-RAAF). The little 4 cylinder (half a 345. If you wanted parts you had to buy the whole V8 kit and throw half away) was pretty gutless and the turning circle atrocious. I had several later ones with the 345 both long and short wheelbase and just loved them.

I don't know the weight of a pallet of bricks but seems to me Adelaide to Port Augusta on the flat would stop that old girl dead. Can't see her going east over Mount Lofty.
There are some important factors to consider when picking up your bricks. Each brick weighs approximately 4kg, which means one pallet of 500 bricks weigh 2 - 2.5 tonnes.

Those bricks were called 'mud bricks' by local builders ,as Brisbane bricks were all solid pressed from nearly dry clay ,and hard fired ......I think Boral introduced mud bricks to Brisbane when they bought out Brittains at Darra.
