The Museums Victoria Web site has many factory  pics of Australian assembled International trucks including Australian Army vehicles during WW2.  Apparently the I-H South Melbourne premises was previously used by GM-H , can anybody confirm that.

Yep, IH leased GM-H land at corner of City rd & Balston st per Sun News Pictorial article 14th Feb 1939

You can also read about the opening of International House there in the Herald 23rd May 1939, including a full descrip plus photo.

The army bought 1200 or 1300 of the R160/S160 IH 4 ton trucks ,and sold the lot in three auctions of 400 trucks each in Singleton in 1974 .......Some of the trucks had milages in the hundreds ,and were like new inside ........most went for around $300....$400 each.........used to often see them in farm clearance auctions .....only one I know of now is Kerry Stantons .
