I liked the Sidebottom transport video also, although I have never owned an Inter. My mate has several though.

I had never heard of Sidebotton Transport but the countryside and the fruit trees certainly show it is Shepparton.

The name reminds me of an incident in my very first job, as a 16 year old, where I was one of six boys delivering telegrams (remember them?) in a town more than a thousand miles from Shep. One of the boys had a telegram for a Mrs Sidebottom who lived well outside the area we could cover on our pushbikes, so he had to telephone.

He asked if he was speaking to Mrs Sidebottom. She replied it is pronounced Siddey-bow-Tom, young man. My colleague replied Yes, Mrs Sidebottom and proceeded to read out the telegram.

I have my shoulder to the wheel,
my nose to the grindstone,
I've put my best foot forward,
I've put my back into it,
I'm gritting my teeth,

Now I find I can't do any work in this position!

The video was very entertaining Paul.
Great to see a man enjoying what he does.

Yes 33 or 34 Ford in the background. There’s so little difference, it’s hard to tell from that photo. 33 has thinner grille surround, and only one hood handle, 34 has two handles.

I'm no expert on these. This was our family car in the 1950s.

Thanks Paul, that's an interesting collection. My pick is the AA184, oh, and the 3070 too!

Do a few hours in one first, might dampen your enthusiasm.

3070s also came with built in rust ........i havent seen one in years that isnt lacework cab...........and I can just imagine a sleeper tacked on the back with lots of absorbent padding would improve things.

Too rough for my liking.
Out of it after 2 Sydneys and 2 Adelaides from Melbourne. Have to be young and very fit.
Shake up your guts and worse than a bulldozer on your back. Shudder when I see one.

I got my semi licence in a 3070.

Then drove a 3070 Eagle on local harvest work, absolutely fantastic.  Easy to get in and out of, excellent vision, it drove brilliantly, and with 32' alum TOA had a very light tare weight.

Brett.
