INTER-esting days

I have my shoulder to the wheel,
my nose to the grindstone,
I've put my best foot forward,
I've put my back into it,
I'm gritting my teeth,
Now I find I can't do any work in this position!

Relating to the last two posts from Brocky, when I worked in the City and Summer temperatures got too hot, I used to say the only good thing about summer was that the tops got lower and the skirts got shorter.
I have my shoulder to the wheel,
my nose to the grindstone,
I've put my best foot forward,
I've put my back into it,
I'm gritting my teeth,
Now I find I can't do any work in this position!

That photo reminds me of the first time I visited the Northern Territory, in 1967. All the "Grey Nomads" were driving American utes with a 44 gallon drum of petrol on the back, towing 30 to 40 foot caravans. No Asian four wheel drives or diesels in those days.

F1800D had the bulge on the rhs of the bonnet for the air cleaner for the 6V53 GM. That photo is of the petrol version and is just F1800. As far as I remember they were always called Loadstars.
