I watched that Oliver drag a Lanz Bulldog backwards across the Macksville Showground once in a tug of war. The driver, oliver1940 had the biggest grin ever.

I nice bit of smoke there MrsMack, I wonder what engine it had in it.
This old Inter I drove for a little while when I worked for Bulla Cream and was doing country deliveries to bakers, dairies and supermarkets in North East Victoria. It had been purchased second hand from on of the overnight express mobs, I don’t remember which, and had already been fitted with a 4 cylinder UD 2 stroke and 10 speed OD RR gear box when it arrived at Bulla.
It had a 24ft aluminium pan on it originally. The pan was swapped for the smaller fibreglass job, and I think the chassis was shortened to suit. All pre my days. When I arrived at Bulla an old fellow was driving it. I was a relief driver and occasionally got chucked in the cab of this one when the old bloke had a day off. it was full of Bex papers and empty Coke bottles, so I think the old guy thought he was still doing overnighters. Anyway I became the regular driver on his run when the old bloke left the company. I drove it for a about 3 months until I jumped out of the back of the truck and landed awkwardly, breaking my foot. By the time I got back to work they had sold the ACCO and bought a real UD, brand new too. The UD was nicer to drive, but lacked the class of the old ACCO.
