Why were the solid copper spark lead wires not used any more is it ilegal ?

Got company car th@ has been performing all OK for 5 years
starts right up 
we use it to jump start other vehicles with flat batteries etc
as well as  to travel to n from work from home
it started to play up & only run n on 1 cylinder
Jnr sez get sum solid copper high tension wires
dun deal all good now
??
Why were the solid copper wires not used any more
is it ilegal ?
does it interfere with TV or phone reception ?
will it burn the elecro gizmo in the distributer?

You know all the bs like cashless society and scam awareness issues; after all look at the confusion world wide yesterday and how many people were in utter confusion "because scores of companies rely on CrowdStrike for their security needs with Windows as their operating system, the consequences of this kind of technical problem have been far-reaching."

Meanwhile the Muller-Falkiner Road Train would have ground along undeterred!  

Copper core leads might effect radios but little else but that was 30 years ago. All should be protected now. My tractor n all petrol stationary engines plus all Mowers here run copper core wire. Only possible issue will be spark plugs. Resistor plugs don't like copper core so I'm told, never buy them so can't say.

I believe it was to do with radio interference.  Most people  (not me) listen to FM / digital now.

There's one in the Stude, but it doesn't work. Maybe a valve? There's none in the Inter. No Point. You wouldn't hear it LOL.
