I think the cab was designed by the person who designed those box shaped Volvo cars in the 1970's and 1980's.

I have my shoulder to the wheel,
my nose to the grindstone,
I've put my best foot forward,
I've put my back into it,
I'm gritting my teeth,

Now I find I can't do any work in this position!

I would say nearly based on those old Morris panel vans with the sliding front doors

There is some similarity about the shape of the front panel but that is all I can see.

By the way, congratulations on the Best Mower Display.
