That might be the case Paul but if I had my money sunk into a dead horse I would not be sitting on my hands hoping some one replies.
At least run it by the Ombudsman to point you in the right direction.

Just following this conversation. It is really nickel and dime stuff and nothing the ACCC is going to get involved with.

I think the explanation he put in the magazine says it all. I would say the poor bugger has gone down mentally and lost control of the operation. He may not be together enough to be sending out individual emails. The barrage from disgruntled subscribers can not have helped his recovery. All very well saying he mentioned wife and family but they no doubt were in part time administrative production roles not editing and putting together interesting stuff for enthusiasts. If you look at the company profile they have 2 employees operating out of a room in Toowoomba.

Are their two other titles Vintage Trucks and Australasian Beekeeper having problems as well?

I do not know how old he is but unless some white knight comes on the scene to rebirth the magazine my money is on you having seen the last of TOMM.

The ACCC is for serious issues. Pursuing large companies and chasing million $ fines.

Your state small business claims organisation is where to lodge your complaint....   but seriously, how many magazines have not been delivered and what is their retail price?

Then, what are you seeking? A magazine or a refund?

Maybe approach the credit card company and seek a refund though them. I do as much as I can using paypal. They have a excellent and fairly easy way of getting refunds.

If direct debit, cancel it immediately.

Try Consumer Affairs, they go after the smaller companies/ sole traders.

I think all anyone is chasing is answer
I'm sure there is more going on in the background than any of us know, not suggesting at all that it is anything untoward

I guess people just want to know if it is all over or not

I'm not worried about the dollars and cents of it

Anyway I just hope it all sorts it self, the magazine's have bought me a lotta of happiness over the years and that is priceless for me

As some have mentioned I was just wanting to know if anyone had any information re Tomm, but it appears the issues the owner wrote about last year have not been resolved. I wish him well and I won't be pursuing any action with Consumer Affairs or any other body which probably wouldn't help. I am not concerned about the cost of the subscription, just sorry to see TOMM fizzle out in this way as I have enjoyed reading it for many years.

I thought Lance Wilson was the owner who opted out n Elanor took it over. She was going to rallies taking notes n pics for the publication.
If the owner does have health issues that would not stop any one else involved in the running of TOMM from sending an email out notifying subscribers.

Each magazine retails for $16 at a newsagent, not cheap but with a small subscription base and having to refund newsagents for unsold publications, it won't be making the owners millionaires any time soon. That alone could bring on an illness. That being said, it shouldn't be too hard fo the other employee to send an email. It would only need to be drafted once and sent to all contacts. Computers make it pretty simple and easy.
