Having again read the Merc story posted elsewhere, I think I might have to add an old Merc truck of some description to my list.

By the way I don't mean faster than the grey ghost. Road loco at 70 you wouldn't be able to keep it on the road! I mean grind as in squash into the ground Road loco may not be faster. BUT I think it could be quite a bit heavier!

If you have a dream project don't dream about it just do somthing about it!.

Im with Dave on this one. You never really know whats special until it comes along. Although in saying that I would think very seriously about selling my brilliant lady on ebay for a Cummins powered KB-12 Inter.
Dave im in the throws with a farmer for a GM powered KM Bedford. May have to back off from giving you a hard time so I have someone to talk to if I get it.

Barry, It has a yankee motor in it so it has been improved so you can still give Dave a hard time. There is nothing wrong with giving someone a hard time in jest as long as you counter that by helping them out when they need it

Ive often wondered what was behind Bedford using the 6V-53 in the KM's and the bigger Beddies with 6V-71's instead of a English Cummins, 640 Perkins or something like that. Anyone know ?
