Do you have a regular GP/Clinic that you use? That way they have access to your medical history. If you go to a different doctor/clinic each time the doctor's are not as comfortable with these reviews as people "doctor shop" going to different doctors to get the results they want.
I gp through this regularly and ended up giving away my HR licence on medical advice. At the time I was looking for work and my GP id happy for me to drive, knowing I will take breaks when I need to which is a bit hard to do when driving to someone else's timetable. My balance issues also made securing loads, changing truck tyres etc difficult. He wanted to avoid me applying for truck driving jobs.

Having lived through a pandemic I now understand all the painting of fat people on couches!

Having this cost every 12 months was the decider for for me ....i was doing favors for a couple of guys with bogie tippers , a day or maybe a week now and again , certainly not enough hours for $1000 worth of medicals ..........there  is no     Medicare   rebate  on      any of this specialist   reports   and tests  ,you pay full   price     ..For    the  private / recreation   licence ,there is a Medicare   rebate ,and maybe bulk billed .

John , I believe QLD LR is only GVM of 8 ton . Means you would have to down rate GVM of a C1800 inter PM. I believe even LR allows you to tow a trailer up to 9 ton .Not sure of GVM of a single axle trailer keeps it under 9 ton .

A SIVS rego in Qld downrates any vehicle GVM by 50% , and I think youd be OK with any two axle truck .

John , I have an 8 wheeler Daf tilt tray . Old enough for club rego . Its GVM is 27.5 ton . Its tare weight is 15.4 ton .Half of the GVM means it is overloaded without even putting a feather on the back of it .

Ian
That stupid rule made me aware that my old Volvo F86 8-wheeler with the crane could carry 600kg (less than a box trailer behind a Corolla).

I twice went over weigh bridges with vehicles on the back - maybe 7 tons- One bloke in Qld checked I had a log book but did not look at it. At the other place just south of Tweed Heads in NSW both inspectors looked quickly at my log book then came out of the shed to take photos and waved me on. I would have been legal in NSW but the truck had QLD historic rego so the NSW blokes should have booked me for being outside my registration requirements regardless of their state laws.
