Good to see some nice ole trucks still working around the country, some in good nick too ;)

Agree with Dodge Fred, what a task it would be getting into the tipper.

Old Diamond Reo I spotted the other day. Must be the way of old trucks, turn em into tippers!

Just to bore everyone, here's yet ANOTHER 1418 I saw yesterday in Melbourne. Still working, by the looks of it? Looks like it may have been a "Kraft" truck? I seem to remember them running around years ago. They were all lazy axles, from memory?

Saw these two trucks at Yass the other night- (sorry about the shocking photos, it was dark and all I had was my phone) The cabover is a 1985 model, and I cant remember what the SAR is, but early 80's I think-
BUT absolute credit to both the blokes (brothers they were). Still making a good mile, and making their owners a quid.
Trucks were both extremely well cared for and presented, looked an absolute treat. Not all show ponied up with silly "gangster" stuff, just neat, original (mostly) and much better than new plastic stuff!
So thought I'd find this old post and put them up, in the interest of stirring up some more "working classics"
Cheers
Richard
