Vintage trucks was created by collector2
Interested to hear from others rebuilding trucks pre 1930
My son and I have a collection of mainly Leyland and Thornycroft trucks from the years 1912 through to 1925.
Then there are the other bits from other makes that has been retrieved.
The majority are solid rubber tyres and with Wooden cabs.
Presently nothing is running as it seems many projects running parallel to each other then a hold up searching for more parts.
Home is in NZ

Parallel projects are great.. always something to do.. you gotta have the space though. :)

I dont have a really big shed so I welded up a set of wheel dollies to suit the J Series Bedford thats currently in the shed.. its nice being able to push it right over to one side of the shed and have room to get another car or truck in or to set up the table saw or something.

Hi Dunc,
Great to see another J3 Bedford about.
Mine does not get to the shed having to live under a cover outside. Only gets used occassionly for duties carting items for the orchard, or otherwise for getting vintage tractors etc to rallies.
Advantage is with its age, once there the truck can be lined up in the display rows. Its been repowered with an Isuzu.
Very few J series Bedfords left on the roads this side of the Tasman.
A pallet loader is ideal for moving engines, gearboxes etc. Large items are moved about using a tractor.
