That LB Scania in the background looks like a Geoffrey Thompson truck, from Shepparton.

Does anyone know about F88' in Aus. According to Volvo there were only ever 50 'UK type" (what the poms called the 290) imported but I have seen pictures of others. I have got hold of one as cab chassis and eventually got the original motor (in pieces) to go with it. The G88 had a TD100A while the imported UK type had (supposedly) a TD100B. However mine is a TD100BD, and seems to be a short TD100A with B ancillaries
Any Comments?

My boss started out in the trucking world by driving this one here in Tassie back in the late 70's.

Here's and old G88 looking for a new owner to bring it back to life. It's in Donald Victoria. Don't have it's owners phone number, but I could find t if anyone was keen on it. Pity to see them rusting away like this. Looks like this would be a good project, I reckon anyway!

Cab looks fairly sound too. I see it has the spotter window in the passenger door which was a factory option not seen very often.
