Yeah Barry, it's a pity the window has been left down. I don't unerstand why people do that. I had a look at a Transtar in Canberra that a bloke had bought and parked in his yard while he thought about what he would use it for. It had been parked for 3 years when I heard about it and the window had been down all that time. Nothing wrong with the truck when he bought, but it was slowly rotting away in his yard and he didn't want to sell it.

the crawler would be a FIAT 55 .. is the truck beside its left a commer .further left there is another commer and a bedford..

One of the trucks has Highway Haulage, St Ives. on the side. It's a long way from St Ives, Sydney to Winton Qld. This company was started by Arthur Gillott and if you google this name there is history of the company on the website.

One of his sons has restored one of the company's old trucks and brought it up to a Golden Oldies Truck show at Dubbo a couple of years ago.

on the cab door to the left of the old crawler i think it reads Alice Srings down the bottom
