Trying to locate old australian truck movie..

Hi All,

Back in the 80's (i think), I saw a movie on tv about trucks hauling grain and trying to cheat the scalies or weighbridges with a "weight shifting mechanism". in the film it "talked" about the mechanism sounding like an air brake yet was more clever than that...The only other bit i think it might have contained was something do with a crooked cop(s).

I'm quite sure it was an Australian film.

Anyone heard of it or got it on tape etc??

Rob, I remember the movie. It was filmed around Gunnedah NSW maybe late 70's early 80's. It was about a scam using air bag suspension on truck and trailer to throw the weight when split weighing the grain trucks at harvest time. I dont recall who was in it but if you no any actors in it you can start searching them for movies they've been in, I have done that for a few programs with success. I would be interested to know aswell, so tell us how you go. I will see what I can dig up.

Movie I'd like to dig up from early 1980's

A local young joker livin in a rental house on Burwood Hwy wantirna walked thru out yard on way to the steam club rally in our back paddock.
we had just painted our ol yard crane with a donated 20 lites of silver paint ( read dazzling)



this joker came back after the steam rally n said he twaz a student movie director @ Swinburn tech
he said he twaz in love with our old silver crane n wanted to make a movie based around our name n crane n trucks etc
I waz shown the movie once (no real story) but am now interested in obtaining said movie
all I can remember twaz the movie twaz based around our name Beamish n the student director Tim B
