this old jigger has belonged to my grandpa for more years then i have been around and recently i have been out there slashing and decided i wanted to get it going. so i convinced my dad to bring it home for me and i changed the oil and filled her up with diesel and away she went. it has a 2 cylinder lister diesel. i was just wondering if anyone knows anything about these old things.

Benford was another brand that made them to.. Was Pommy built with a 3 speed crash box. Power was not an option. They just never had any. Crank handle start with decompresser handle. Great way to warm up is to start one on a frosty morning. :D :D

Aveling Barford are another company who have made these dumpers since 1936, and they still make a substantial line of them today, in various sizes.
Their biggest current dumper in this style, is a 10-tonner, and they've produced a four-tracked version of it, that looks like a bit of a beast .. :D

thanks for the info fellas. not a bad bit of history. last night i was driving it and it stopped...no fuel. so today i flushed the tank, a nice amount of rust floating round. took off the fuel bowl...1/4 full of rust and dirt so i cleaned that out. now it has an incredible gain of power, plus running on two cylinders ;D we loaded her up goin up a bit of a hill lol

btw the water tank is a bit on the completely empty side
