Deadly, nope, can't remember that greasy spoon joint, the only thing that I can recall about Footscray Rd round about that mark, was that just after Dudley St on the LHS inbound, was a yard that used to garage some timber straddle machines. They were painted a dark yellow and stood about 12 ft tall, they could drive over a pack of timber and the clamps underneath would grab hold of and pick up the pack. They had to drive from there, to the P/U point, which from memory was down Lorimer St somewhere, could be wrong on that one, KRAFT is starting to get to me now.
These straddle cars would come out of the property and turn left into Footscray Rd and go in under the rail bridges and turn right into Spencer St. One of the drivers was a real clown, he would get out onto Footscray Rd, then when all the traffic had come to a standstill from the lights, he would just keep driving over the top of the cars, it was an interesting sight to see this happen and the reaction from the car drivers was from disbelief to outright hostilities, some of 'em would duck down on the seat, others would get out swearing and waving their fist in the air, the comedy session was worth the wait in the traffic though.
