Thanks for the pics. Is the third pic from last of a Tiger? Did you have any chance to drive one of them - if so, what were they like?

No unfortunately it was just a plain M.A.N. lazy axle. They replaced the Bedfords with the GM's. As far as I can remember they only made 1Tiger.

OUCH!!! Loose gate on a semi going the other way. It happened on the railway overpass just past the weighbridges at Seymour. :-? Before the freeway was built.

From the looks of it the DMR had been doing some grading the day before. Had rained and the trucks felt tired.

They were mainly for breakdowns and accidents. Well before CBs and lots of rigids going everywhere. Melb to Syd / Syd to Melb 50 truck movements a night.
