Funny how low group intelligence is. The rioters are obviously regular bus users. "I know, let's burn all the buses to get rid of expensive fares" Same as prison rioters burning their bedding.

Being involved in the Motor Insurance Industry for 30+ years I got to deal with quite a few bereaved families.

There's no easy way to deal with these people. Their lives have been turned upside down and probably the last thing they want is to deal with the Insurance Company.

Even when vehicles were not a write off we did write them off to save the family getting the car back.

There was only one brand of prestige vehicle we never had a fatality in and that was Mercedes Benz. The reason we have them as daily drivers. So we have more chance of surviving the big one.

A lot of years as a copper, accident investigator with the RTA and towie. It never gets any easier. Doesn't matter what the age of the victim, it's still a life taken too soon.

The tragic part of this particular accident is, the parents of the young man who was diving the Hi-lux, wanted nothing to do with the wreck, see it or photos. BUT, his partner turned up with a caste of thousands to collect it and all the bits of it because, "He had some great bits on the ute and they might be worth something". I guess we all handle grief differently.

Zuffen, believe me there is no "Fatality free" brand of vehicle. I guess you were lucky and good luck to you. Go with what you feel is best for you and yours.

Lang, this is where people (most annoyingly!) confuse the word "idol" with "hero". Sports stars are idols; no more than that. It's a shame heroes aren't idolised a bit more.

Lots of kids have the high powered catapults that shoot lead balls ,(or sometimes ball bearings ,if they can find them).......there are about 20 types for sale on fleabay.......One of the little rats in my yard fired at me with a catapult ......when I rang the cops ,I said I thought Id been shot at ...not untrue ,and guaranteed to get some action ...which it did.

Looks like only the sides of the trailer have collapsed and the chassis rails are still fine or perhaps fine - ish ??

me thinx them thar aluminium trailers R fine to max out on legal weight
but the weight needs 2 B distributed over the full length of trailer ( or there abouts)
