G'day fellas,
While out and about looking for old trucks, while supposed to be doing a bit yesterday I spotted this old banga.
It has the torsion bar susspension that I've only ever seen pictures of on here before.
I'm not sure of the year, early 70's maybe?
Anyhow what can you blokes tell me about it?

Now here's the interesting bit check out the chassis number, second from the top. 100002
Is this truck a bit special?

Jimmy Unzud, that chassis number starts with a 4 (not a 1), which makes it an Aussie one. 335 PCD wheels are a bit of a rarity as well. As for the old crowbars, you havn't missec anything mate, overpriced to rebuild (a lot were replaced with Reyco because it is an easy conversion, and you could buy a complete Reyco suspension for about a third of the price of fixing a knackered one) and a bit soft, as opposed to the front springs on those old things that did very little actual springing and made them so memorable to drive.

Mate the most remeberable thing I had from TBar suspension in KT125 was when they were wound up to take BIG loads they would march you straight out of a corner on any hoppy surface--- right across into the the scrub/concrete creek culverts with no edges , if you did n`t know your road........danngeross dam things and 10/15 ks slower in a corner than Hendricson on similar cabanbed model.
dunno about slimlines or other later TBar if there were any.
KT125 871.t lusty.

Reminds me a lot of the old afe rigs?
No bunk, no bullbar.
Boss reckon no bullbar would make the drivers more alert. Wouldn't even let them have/use CB radios. Didn't stop that one running up my backside near Crafers!!!
