Mate of mine had a tractor rim modified with a new centre put in it by a company in Melbourne will find out were.
So if you get the bigger rims then just get new centre put in, Legal then.

8-) Grandson got his first ride today! :)

His entire life, almost every visit he'd wanna jump into the truck and play driver ... he'd sit up there and crank the wheel back and forward, flick switches and make brmm brmmm noises.

Today, he wanted to do the same, I said

"no, leave the switches alone please, I need them to drive ... "
"can we go for a drive please Grumpy?"
"ok ... "
Off we went for a lap of the block. He had a grin so wide his ears looked like they were gunna fall off ;D

Be it firearms or V8 engines, the question is not "why should you have them?"
, but "who are you to demand that I justify them?"

Hey Eddie, loved the bit about your grandson, kids get the biggest kick out of ridingin an old truck don't they? I know I did as a kid. I uesd to subscribe to a mag here in the U.S. until they put this picture on the cover which I thought was reallt cute but everyone complained about it because there wasn't a "big truck" on the cover, poor old editor had to apologise in the next issue, I cancelled after that> I was born in Waikerie in 1934!! liked your posts.

anything above the reasoning of a mongrel dog is a waste of time

8-) thanks for that.

Got an inquiry into Mullins wheels again, and will see what they have to say this time.
's funny, last time I inquired through a truck repair/service mob and very little interest, and quickly got quoted about &1k per wheel.
This time I got through to Mullins direct, and explained that I was planning a resto on an oldy, possibly trying to do a replica of the Rally truck. That got the bloke a bit more interested. 'course his boss was on that rally also. ;D

Eddy - Great pics of the young fella. The cheesy grin says it all. Reminds me of when I was about 7 or 8, and Dad used to let me sit in his lap and steer the old '38 Dodge 3 tonner he owned, up the road at speed (well, maybe 50-60kmh!). I can still remember the excitement and anticipation of the "drive", and that was 55 years ago .. :D

Hi Eddy,

Thats a silly price in any currency. :D

I have just checked a mega scrapyard in the UK.
They think they have 8.25R 16 6 stud wheels in stock, are checking and getting back to me.

1. Is this the right size ?
2. Do you want tyres ?

They can ship by DHL, IF they have them and IF you want them.

Just trying to help.
Let me know please.

Cheers
RS :)
