the P76-Terrier 4.4 V8 is about the only "truck" motor i know that has made its way into landloosers,holdens,fords boats,nissans, even motorbikes!(maybe even planes? )

From the photo of your grandson in the Truck - the small amount of dash I can see - seems to be the "basic" or early version .. is the speedo in the middle ?.

That's what you'd find if you remove your dash also. Mine had the same plastic dash, but in more sections, as yours. My attempts at removal and taping together for use as a mold for a fiberglass replacement ended in tears.
I've actually had the speedo panel mounted in the centre, and it looks cool, real old school, but really annoying when driving and trying to check the speed etc ...
